Where this started

Leadership is practiced, not granted

It began as a conviction, formed over years of leading teams and developing organizations toward real, measurable performance: leadership is treated as something you either have or you do not, handed down with a title rather than practiced on purpose. I have never believed that. Everyone has a leader in them. It is a practiced human value, not a rank you wait to be given.

One-off training does not hold

I also never accepted that a single training, a classroom session or a motivational program was ever going to be enough. Research from around the world, and what we see in our own local surveys, all point the same way: learning delivered as a one-off event does not sustain growth, whatever the subject and however good the day itself felt. What sustains growth is the environment around a person, not the event. In learning and development, that means real access to build yourself: a personalised program shaped around your role and your actual gaps rather than a generic curriculum, and a mentor you can turn to any time, not once a quarter, so you can practice what you are learning before the moment it matters arrives.

Change begins with you

Nobody can force it on you, and nobody can do it for you. What I kept seeing, in young professionals and experienced ones alike, is people who genuinely wanted to grow and simply did not know where to start. That gap was too big and too common to leave alone. I also knew that fixing it inside one organization at a time would never reach far enough to matter.

Growth should not be rationed

There is a harder truth underneath it. People want to grow, and most organizations genuinely want that for them, but budgets are finite: development gets rationed to a chosen few, for reasons that have little to do with who needs it or who would do the most with it. So the mission became simple to state and hard to do. Make real development available to everyone, at a price that does not put it out of reach, and keep it relevant and personalised rather than generic. That is what Cultiv8Hub is, and why it exists. Sri Lanka first, and I believe it reaches further if enough of us work at it together.

What one person growing actually changes

It does not stop with one person. Grow yourself, and it changes how you show up at home, at work, and everywhere in between. It is not this platform reaching further. It is you, becoming someone whose growth other people can feel.

What a Founding Member is

The Launch rate is open to anyone who signs up between 1 September 2026 and 31 December 2026 inclusive, monthly or annual. A Founding Member is narrower: the first 1,111 people on that rate who commit to a full annual subscription. It is the year of commitment that earns the title: an annual subscription qualifies, a monthly plan never does.

That number is not decoration. Once we reach 1,111 and sustain it annually, we can build this further and open it to students and professionals on lower incomes, keeping the price affordable rather than raising it as the platform grows. It is the same reason this was built in English, Sinhala and Tamil from the start: so it genuinely reaches every individual, not only those who already had the money and the language to find it. If you are one of the 1,111, thank you for the trust it takes to back this. We do not take it lightly.

If you want to hand this to someone, as a gift, you are doing the same thing we are. So:
